Ya, Kamio's voice is much more "raw", but that adds into his own style, if one can pull it off.
I used to be able to pick up all these really quickly...4 years without performing/playing/studying music can really do weird things to the brain [like getting stupider]

Eien-chan: That's Ok. I just put you guys together for convinience. ^^
Kage-san: Shows what happens if you grew up in a primary school with Scottish husband/wife Principal and Vice-Principal...
Amature...yeah...along those lines... *swears at own limited grammar* Kiri in Rock...OMG... o.0 *dreamy* My little otouto's grown... *teary eyes* (*lol*) That must be why Toriumi-san's always smiling when he does voice acting... *shudders*
Wonderful Days and Mera Mera...the two Pulltab to Can songs... *dreamy* My god they sound so nice!!! (And I hate half the charas... *sighs*)
Perfect pitch... o.0 Wow...I couldn't play violin right because I suck at music talents... I'm just like a dog: Analyse voice types...

To Vorspiel:
Yes, thank you, that's the adjective I was looking for to describe Kiri's voice! Yes, yes, Kiri has a raw voice, but I adore it. It gives his voice distinction in comparison to everyone else's. Sometimes it might be hard to pick his voice apart from Sengoku's, but when he sings solo...
*shivers*
Hm? You studied music for four years? That sounds interesting... Please, do tell.
To Eien:
*laughs*
I know, I truly envy that gift. She's a pianist, composer, and a songwriter as well, so you can imagine just how small I feel in comparison to her sometimes.
*laughs*
I have a cousin, too, who's also gotten into singing, and has sung internationally as well. He recently wrote and recorded his own song, which was for a wedding, and I've listened to it, and dear God, it was lovely.
I am surrounded by such musically talented people, and the only thing I can do is sing - and not even well, at that.
*sighs*
I can only bask in their reflected glory...
To Sakura1118:
Hm? The Principal and Vice-Principal of your school were Scottish? How intriguing! Is that where you learned about Scottish music?
Oh yes my dear, Kiri in rock. Can you imagine what he must sound like?
*shivers at the thought*
I try to imagine him singing "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls, and I swear, it makes me tingle all the way down to the very tips of my toes. And with that attitude of his, he is all set to become a rock god.
*laughs*
As I said before, Pull Tab is the best vocal group in Tenipuri, in my opinion. Though, I have to ask: what did you mean when you said that you hated half the charas?
*nods*
Yes, she has perfect pitch. There's an upside to it, but there's also a downside: since she could easily pick up on the notes that were being played, she got lazy when it came to learning how to read notes, which is very important for a musician.
*blinks*
You tried playing violin? Wow, I envy you... The last musical intrument I learned to play was a bamboo flute, but it's so hard to find musical transcriptions for that...
*sighs*
I'd love to pick up the saxophone though... Or the cello...

Music...let's see...actually, I studied piano/music for *counts fingers* 8 years? I've finished grade 8 piano a few years ago...I didn't go get my diploma because my final years of high school were coming up, so I decided to put it on hold. Didn't know uni would take up even more time though...>.<...so during the last three to four years, my music knowledge has waned quite a bit...I can't read the notes as fast anymore...and I can't pick up certain things as immediate as I would have before...I'm thinking of picking up/self teach guitar and violin [or drums, or viola, myabe cello as well!!!], so maybe that'll get me back in the "rhythm". I've composed one [lame excuse of a] piece, but I cannot sing at all. *sigh*

Dear me, now that's impressive. My parents tried to send me to ballet school when I was younger, but it did nothing except cure me of my flat-footedness. They never put me to piano lessons or anything of the like...
Well, at least you can read notes; sheet music is, sadly, all Greek to me. The only time that I came fairly close to a singing career was when I was in the school choir. I had voice lessons for a while, but since skill wanes with every day that one does not practice, I'm pretty sure that my voice is closer to a frog with a cold now.
*sighs*
Eight years of piano? I am truly impressed...

Fufufufu, well, it would have lasted only 4 years if it weren't for my parents pushing me to complete it...however, now I'm cool with it, but the sad thing is, despite the fact that I haven't played for a few years, I'm really up for any challenging piece [and I haven't found any...cos the ones I've found are not. *sigh*] I had voice lessons too...mainly for the aural part of my piano exams...I usually get zero for vocals...even after the lessons. ^^;

Well...yes and no I guess... It's just the first thing which pops in due to them ne? Kiri...rock... *starts dreaming and taking off to fairy land* He could sing well with anything as long as it projects the full length of his voice thuogh, I reckon. Hate...uh...understand this first: I'm one of those peoplz who don't give a dam about looks, and is VERY fussy with personality... I dislike: ATOBE, KIRIHARA, Osshi-, Ibu... Half ne? Osshi- and Ibu are more like peoplz I'd back off from though... *sighs* Sengoku-san gets to me too... *shudders* Just not as much. I tolerate him, and generally like him. ^^ I could never read notes...it was like...uh...reading an alien language?? I failed the theory in music...I dunno how I passed the pracs without reading notes... o.0 My violin method didn't require music reading so I was content. ^-^

To Vorspiel:
*chuckles*
What, then, would you consider a "challenging piece?" On a related note, which composer do you think has the most challenging compositions?
And again, I envy you for being able to read notes. A cousin of mine who plays the piano once told me that it's like learning to read, only you're reading notes instead of letters. I told her that I learned to read at an early age, and I only decided that I wanted to learn to read notes fairly recently (I think I was around fifteen or sixteen at the time that we had that conversation).
To Sakura1118:
*blinks at the characters you hate*
I actually like those characters, but to each her own, I suppose.
*shrugs and then grins*
Your violin technique did not require you to read notes? Wow... I didn't know something like that existed! Will wonders never cease...

Lets see...the last piece I've ever played consisted of eight pages of MANY MANY MANY MANY notes , and it was for my grade 8 exam, it was a "Quiet Moon on Autumn Lake", a traditional Chinese piece for the harp, i think, and this version arranged for the piano. It wasnt so bad, as anything that consists of my fingers running across the piano is my forte, and the timing of it was rather steady. However...timing is a reall big issue for me...I haven't played many classical pieces [only for exams], so I would say the other most challenging piece I've played is Nocturne by Tchaikovsky. Those killer triplets. @_@
Yeah, notes is like reading a different language...funny, though, this language is easier, as its grammar isnt as horrible as english *nods*
I aced my theory exams...as long as they dont need me to memorise any piece and write it down...I can do theoretical composition! yay! not anymore though...
My brother did violin for a brief moment, and it seemed like you only require the notes of the treble clef...bass is for viola. So it's easier to read than piano sheets...@_@ [just one row!!!]

Kage-san: Yeah...and I like the unusally peoplz... I mean, I'm IN LOVE with Sanada-san *looks at Senpai and Eien-chan for reaction* and I like Tachibana-san and Yanagi-san. ^w^ Yep, everyone has their own likes ne? Nope! Have you ever heard of the Suzuki method before? It's world widely known, and you learn by the 1, 2, 3, and 4 of fingers not notes. Senpai: Yeah, violin only does treble clefs. Bass isn't used. *gleams with happiness*

Ya...Sakura-chwan is totally in love with Sanada...they're getting married!!! *dances and throws confetti* I had friends learn piano using Suzuki method!! Apparently its easier for beginners to learn music, but harder to get into reading notes later...I started straight into notes... Nyaah...I wanna do violin!!! Better grabs my bro's then fufufufu...just one row...

Yay! [claps hands for violin]
Though I admit, I haven't played my poor little Baiorin-chan in awhile...it sits in my manga closet alone...;-; Poor, poor Baiorin-chan...
Learning guitar is harder than I thought...your fingers have to reach so far! Thank you, minor piano training, for making my finers long. XD
Wow, we have a lot of musicians here! :3

To Vorspiel:
Hmmm... I will go and search for a recording of that Chinese tune. It's intriguing.
*laughs*
So people have told me about note-reading: there is no such thing as grammar, making it simpler. The real difficulty is associating sounds with the symbols.
*blinks*
I like Tchaikovsky's pieces... Especially his Nocturne... But I'm more of a Beethoven and Bach girl myself... And Scarlatti too. And of course, there is Tartini's Devil's Trill: what my violinist friend calls "The Bloody Fingers piece" because of how hard it can be to play.
To Sakura1118:
*bursts out laughing*
Then I wish you all the best. My best friend's Sanada Muse lives in her head, along with an entire host of Tenipuri boys. Said best friend is practically married to Sanada too.
*laughs*
I think, then, I can safely consider myself married to Tezuka on this board.
*purrs*
*blinks*
I've never heard of the Suzuki method... The only instrument I learned to play is a bamboo flute, which plays like a clarinet or a saxophone. The musical notation for that one didn't involve notes: mostly just the letter equivalents like C, D, E, F, G, A, and so on and so forth. To indicate a higher note, it became C2, D2, etc.
To Buchou-Sempai:
*sighs*
The violin is a lovely, lovely instrument... I've been in love with its sound since I was seven, and I wanted to learn it, but I didn't have the time.
*sweatdrops*
Guitar is fantastic, and it's fairly easy to learn, but yes, you do have to stretch your fingers a fair bit to play it properly.
*thinks*
There is currently this Spanish festival going on here in the Philippines, and on the first day of the festival (it lasts a month), there was this show featuring flamenco guitar music and, of course, flamenco dance as well. I was given the chance to see both, and I have to say that the flamenco guitarists are some of the best in the world. Their fingers practically flew over the strings!
*sighs*

Senpai: Hell yes!!! >w< And I see no one but him... =w= *in fairy land*
Yeah, it's easier, but it's difficult because you learn how to play using your ears... o.0 I can do voice, but music never was my thing... *sighs* I can't read music except do rae mi... *whistles and looks away* Notes looks like tadpoles to me... *hides behind bush*
Mitsuko-san: Yeah...I never practiced, so I asked my parents to quit... I mean, I'd prefer them to waste money on my riding than violin... *rolls eyes* It sits between my storage desk and my cupboard *whistles*
We had t play guitar in Year 8. (Or middle school 2nd year) My little fingers nearly died... (I have major small hands... *sobs*) I died trying to play 4th finger right on a 3/4 sized violin... (My size)
Yes! We do too!!! >w<
Kage-san: Grr... *glares at Kage-san's friend* HE'S MINE!!!!!!!! >o< (<--Desperate person) *Sobs* If I lose him I have nothing... *teary eyes* My friends were like 'o.0' when they found out my obsession...I've never thought of guys as more than friends or bros to me... (And I have a lot...) Sanada-san was in is probably the only one I'd say 'He's mine!!' to...hehehe... *blush* In other words: I won't give up!! >x< (*lol*)
Haha, yeah. I saw the Tezuka topic in the glompage forums. ^w^ *throws confetti*
That's k. In Aust it was very UNknown... *laughs* It depends on the district. ^^ o.0 Bamboo flute...NI~CE... =w= *dreamy* I luv the sounds... Because I can't read notes, nor that I learn (except in music at school which was a failure...) I have NO idea what you're talking about... o.0 *in awe*
